We've got several Epson, also--the Powerlite series. I also have had
panasonic, mitsubishu, and nec. Believe it or not, for us it came down
to the functionality of the remote. Being able to choose the Input
instead of cycling through them was key as well as an easy way to "mute"
the projector display.

We've started buying Epson projectors. They seem to be a good value in
terms of lumens/$. Also, the wireless connection is pretty easy to
integrate into your network. They have an educational program called
Brighter Futures.

Subject: OH Projector recommendations
We're looking to ceiling mount some new projectors for use
with Promethean boards. The board supplier is recommending 2500- 3000
lumens, and we need it to be 16:9 or 16:10 ratio.
Has anyone had any good luck with such a projector? Any recommendations?
Thanks for any input.
