NAIS guidelines for online learning programs

Dear ISED Colleagues,

The NAIS 21st Century Curriculum & Technology Task Force has put together a=
document titled "Online Learning: A Continuum of Opportunity - Critical Qu=
estions for School Leaders." We seek your comments on this document in orde=
r to improve it. Our intention is to provide a resource for independent sch=
ool leaders seeking guidance on developing online learning programs. The do=
cument includes sections on leadership, marketing, teaching, ethics, profes=
sional development, assessment, and infrastructure. It is framed as critica=
l questions rather than declarative statements in order to provoke the type=
of thinking and planning that needs to happen during development and evalu=
ation of online learning efforts.

Please access the document at http://4dmo.com/blogs/nais/ and leave your co=
mments. It is set up for threaded comments to be placed paragraph by paragr=
aph for a richer discussion around particular ideas.=20

I did notice that when using the Chrome browser you might get two boxes for=
entering comments- be sure to use the lower box (sorry for this glitch; we=
are using the "CommentPress" WordPress plug in.)

Please also feel free to contact me directly, or comment on the ning: http:=

Thanks in advance for your comments, and thanks to the committee members fo=
r developing this resource,
