Re: ISED/Internet Safety Speaker

Hello, all,

I would second Gary's suggestion -- develop this expertise within your faculty. A good starting point is the MacArthur-funded Digital Youth Whitepaper: http://digitalyouth.ischool.berkeley.edu/report

Some other good resources can be found in studies/research from Pew Internet and American Life Project: http://pewinternet.org/topics/Social-Networking.aspx

Gary, re: "There seems to be evidence that teachers stop using computers after attending an Internet Safety workshop." -- can you share links to this research?

Thanks,

Bill

Why can't a member of your faculty be trusted to speak rationally with parents?

There seems to be evidence that teachers stop using computers after attending an Internet Safety workshop.
