When is a worm a good thing?

Hi, All

A colleague warned me that a Wordpress worm was making the rounds and taking
advantage of older Wordpress installations. My blog runs on Wordpress, so I
took the opportunity to do a full backup, update and re-theming of the site
over the weekend. I've had the blog for almost four years now, and it was
good to have an excuse to focus on it again. You can see the revised format
at

On a train to Portsmouth yesterday, I wrote a set of new entries ranging
from Finalsite to N wireless networks to Follett Destiny, and other sundry
issues. I also downloaded Wordpress to my iPhone, and now I can post both
pictures and entries from it to my blog. Rather fun.

Thanks to those who responded to my recent post about long-term usernames
and authentication. We're still working on the idea of a single
authentication system and a "username for life." I'll post an update in the
future if we go down that route.
