Re: Latitude 2100 XP Vol License install

John,

Having just finished deploying 58 Latitude 2100 netbooks for a school in CA=
, I feel the issue is, as stated earlier, by the SATA settings in BIOS A01.=

You can resolve your installation headaches by updating the BIOS to A02. D=
ell has addressed this issue with the A02 release allowing you to complete =
the installation normally with the AHCI setting selected.

Hope this was helpful,

Subject: Latitude 2100 XP Vol License install

I have tried to install xp vol lic OS on the 2100 but the hard drive is not
found during the set up. I have the latest XP SP3 image from the microsoft
eopen website. A reinstall from the Dell XP reinstall disc works fine. Ther=
e
are extra files on the Dell reinstall disk which I assume contain some
drivers need for the install.

Has anyone had success/got any suggestions?

Thanks

John
