been on the PC, that I have seen.
The best one I have tried is Talking Typing Teacher designed =
specifically for the visually impaired. =

The program will run on even a much older PC, even on running Windows =
98. You might consider getting a few older PCs with this program on it =
for the students that need it. =20
Getting on my pedestal...hardware choices should be driven by curricular =
needs. If there is not something available for the Mac (and there might =
be), then it seems like buying a few PCs for these students would be a =
good choice. =20

Subject: ISED/typing program for visually impaired students

Hi,
We have several students in our school who have severe vision issues. =
One has a very hard time seeing the screen even when it is magnified. =
The students in grades 2-6 have been using free online typing tutors, =
but I am interested in buying a typing program and am particularly =
interested in one that provides oral commands so that these students =
with vision challenges can still be successful typers.
Can anyone recommend a program they've seen that might work? I looked =
online and saw one but it is only for PC--we are a Mac school.
Thanks,
Amanda
