Subject: Re: Web Branding Question
We built our entire public-facing website on a "web 2.0" platform
(Drupal). While you may not be able to do this tomorrow, you could move
in this direction over the long term. Not only does this provide the
latest social functionality, it also fully integrates social features
throughout the entire site (instead of having a "community" section of
the site) and facilitates custom integration with our school information
systems.

Hello,
We are currently using Whipple Hill for our web hosting services. It
does not include all of the functionality that our art department wants
for their web page, so they would like to design a page separate from
our "template". However, our communications department doesn't want to
impact the "brand" that they have implemented through the site. I feel
that it is inevitable for our web site to continue to expand and utilize
the 2.0 tools that are available and I want my teachers to take full
advantage of them! So, do any of you have guidelines in place to ensure
branding of departmental or individual pages? Also, I would like to
collect some data from folks to see how many schools have department or
individual pages that vary from their overall look and feel of their
site to allow for greater 2.0 functionality.
Thanks everyone,
