Re: Web Branding Question

Hi Philip,
We use Silverpoint at our preK-6 school. Each class has pages that are set =
as a template with designated sections. Some teachers utilize the sections =
more than others.

For pages that need to be created outside of the template pages, I created =
a template page in Dreamweaver that has the same heading graphic as all of =
our site pages. We mainly use this for student published pages or for a lis=
t of project specific links.

As I tell our teachers, it is difficult to customize the class pages...and =
that is on purpose. Our site is DESIGNED to be uniform for continuity.

Hope this info is helpful.

Subject: Web Branding Question

Hello,
=20
We are currently using Whipple Hill for our web hosting services. It
does not include all of the functionality that our art department wants
for their web page, so they would like to design a page separate from
our "template". However, our communications department doesn't want to
impact the "brand" that they have implemented through the site. I feel
that it is inevitable for our web site to continue to expand and utilize
the 2.0 tools that are available and I want my teachers to take full
advantage of them! So, do any of you have guidelines in place to ensure
branding of departmental or individual pages? Also, I would like to
collect some data from folks to see how many schools have department or
individual pages that vary from their overall look and feel of their
site to allow for greater 2.0 functionality.

Thanks everyone,
