just received my first group of parent controls incompatabilities. Thank
you all for your great suggestions and for taking the time to lend a helping
hand. I have decided to get the mac server in order to pair OD/AD, resolve
home directories, and manage print queues. I will also be setting it up as
a task server for ARD. I have to say, at first I wasn't too thrilled with
apple's native network management options. I have been pleasantly surprised
with the ARD ease of use and overall functionality and I am thrilled to be
getting a mac server now to complete the circle.
Thanks again for everyones input - I can't tell you how helpful you have all
been to a mac newbie. I hope others have found this helpful as well. Also
a huge thanks to this forum as a resource - this was my first posting and
the response was incredible. I will do my best to add in my two cents
whenever I feel I can be helpful.
Have a great school year everyone!
