Re: Classroom of the Future at NAIS Conference

This program has been in the works for several years. It started out as a $=
100 laptop. However, they are now around $200. There is a program where you=
could be the proud owner of one of these "babies" for just over $400. That=
is $200 for your laptop and a $200 donation to get one in the hands of a c=
hild in another country. The date passed for this program but I just notice=
d that they have extended the date to Dec. 31st. Here is more on the progra=

Fred
I do not know but I saw a piece on 60 minutes last night called "A laptop
for every child" It is a world wide program headed by a guy from MIT.

He wants to make it possible to go to school any where for $100 per student
as long as the can have a satellite.

I email my notes from my smart board to students who miss a lesson.

Does anyone know who is organizing/developing the "Classroom of the
Future" exhibit at the annual NAIS conference?

If there is still time to provide input the ISEN ning would be a great
place to discuss suggestions. :-)

Of course you would need to be a member of the ISEN ning in order to
discuss things there, but that's so easy... what, maybe five minutes of
your time to create an account ....

The url, should you be interested, is: http://isenet.ning.com/

Thanks,

Fred
