Apologies. I have no idea if the email below made it to the list or not, or
whether anyone responded or not. Immediately after I sent this (and if you
have read, or read, the post below, youi may appreciate the . . .what . . =

irony? unbelievable incompetence?), our web host, having stated quite
clearly to us that we would need to do some work in order to affect this
upgrade, and having quite clearly said they would wait for our go ahead, an=
d
then would give us some time to get ready - after all that, and without our
go-ahead - went and switched us over to a new server.
We immediately lost our web site. When we called them, and they explained
what happened, we asked them to revert us back to our old server
immediately.
A few hours later, our web site was back up.
Meanwhile, all emails to anyone at our domain name were returning "permanen=
t
failure" notices. When we contacted them about *that*, they said no problem=
,
give us a couple of hours. four hours later they told us they could not
revert us back to our old server because that server had been deleted. Alon=
g
with all our emails that had been stored there.
An hour or so after that, they told us that wasn't true.
Bottom line: we lost email service for two days, and all messages sent our
way during that time were bounced back to the originators with permanent
failure notices.
With that in mind . . . my original post, again. And if you replied, I beg
your indulgence and ask if you could re-send it.

We've been offered an upgrade by our web host, after we inquired about
getting better spam filtering at the server. They are offering the package
described below for US$19.95/month, which seems like a good deal.
One reason we are hesitating is because their service/ response has not
always been so great . . .As in, they seem not to answer emails, for one . =
.
.
Our needs are fairly basic =96 about 25 =96 30 email accounts. We'd like to=
be
able to put up flash video, but streaming is not in our foreseeable future.
Online forms are however, as well as the possibility of a small on-line
school store with payments via PayPal or some other such payment service.
Thoughts /in put / advice greatly appreciated!
