I have had server rooms that haven't been air conditioned at all
(closets in the back of classrooms), and I personally have never had a
problem with heat causing problems with the servers. =20

My current school has six rack mounted servers, and about 10 other
pieces of equipment in the server room. We keep it at 68 degrees. The
room has its own temperature control center and has been specially
insulated to maintain this temperature pretty consistently throughout
the year.

I've been requested to find out information about the temperature in
server rooms and the temp in the racks themselves. I'm hoping to get a
quick poll.=20

1) What temperature do you set in your server room?

2) At what temperature do you get concerned about being too hot?

3) What temperature would you like to have in your racks?

4) At what temperature do you get concerned about being too hot?

Thank you,
