The art teacher and I are planning a Student Digital Photo Exhibition
at our lower school.
This will be purely voluntary and open to 4th and 5th graders.
We feel that kids have access to devices that take photos almost all
the time---cameras, cell phones etc
and would like them to show the world through their eyes.
Students will be invited to bring in photos that are taken
and printed at home for display in this digital photo show. We will
ask each student to email the photo for an online display
and so that I can make them into an electronic show.
Photos will be matted/mounted on foam board by both the art teacher and myself
Question 1--- Has anyone else done this? Did you have a
THEME...something as simple as
blue and white or even something like doors or shoes?
Question 2---We do not have a gallery and would like to transform an
entranceway that has lovely natural light
into our gallery. I am looking for a good way to display these
photos---I've come up with some ideas using wood, plywood/gypsum board
and
lots of fabric to cover but I'm wondering is someone else has a good,
tried and true idea.
Thanks. Susan Ferris, The Pingry School
