Re: Anti-virus recommendations

We dropped Symantec this year. I've wanted to drop it for the last two
years, and finally had the opportunity.

We switched to Sunbelt Vipre Enterprise.

Sunbelt Software really wanted our business and made a strong case, backed
by good pricing. They included "home use" licenses, which is a big help as
well now that most vendors have gone to annual subscriptions. I was most
impressed with their engine, and how it was not a resource hog. As a school
we've got some older machines (+5 years), that Symantec was making almost
unusable. They've come back to life with Vipre.

CDW-G came to me with Kaspersky and Trend. Both were good, but Vipre gave us
the best value.

So far we're happy with Vipre, no major complaints.
