We use Cisco at Madeira, and installed 2 call managers from the
beginning. If your phones are critical, it is an absolute must have. =20

We installed a new Cisco VOIP phone system a year ago and, because of
budget constraints, purchased only one call manager. Our vendor
strongly advised against this and we did experience a day without phone
service when one of the hardware components of our single call manager
failed. I am making a pitch for a second call manager and just wanted
to check with schools that have gone to VOIP to see if they have a
back-up call manager.
