We're about to launch into the excting world of media and we're
wondering what other schools are doing with regard to hardware/software.
We are envisioning a server/group of servers and some software that
touches a database that is a searchable catalog of media assets. I'd
love to hear what you're using, if you've taken the plunge already. At
this point, we're thinking about housing existing and newly created
media assets (movies, podcasts, etc.), but at some point may also want
this "system" to interface with teleconferencing and perhaps even
broadcasting equipment.
