around eleven in the morning managed to wipe out my NetGold list with its
2000 + posts and 200 + members, gone for good. It was replaced with
Net-Gold on that server that same day. I created additional lists over
time on other servers so that the loss of all the data on the additional
servers would be alternative locations for this content should such a
disaster happen again. To the extent possible, I encourage creators of
such sites as those now on Ning to create additional clone sites on places
like Google Sites, PBWiki, online discussion groups like Yahoo Groups,
Google Groups and so forth, the more the merrier. If these are publically
archived, this duplication tends to make content easier to find in
searches as Google does not always index all locations of your content so
that more places for the content lends to a much better chance of finding
the content you are looking for.
