Friends Academy searches for a Technology Integrationist for the 2010-2011 year
beginning on July 1, 2010. We seek a person who has a keen understanding of the
developmental needs of children and integration of technology throughout the fabric of
the K-8th grade curriculum within the classroom structure.
The ultimate goal of Friends Academy is to develop students who have a strong global
literacy, using technology as the catalyst for problem solving, critical thinking,
collaborative learning, creativity and innovation. In addition, the thoughtful and
purposeful integration of technology will support and foster the individual learning
styles/multiple intelligences of each student. It will also enable differentiation within the
classroom and empower each child to reach their potential.
The technology integrationist will facilitate the technology program at Friends to
accomplish this. This person will also be responsible for helping teachers acquire
necessary skills to co-develop and participate in technology use as an integrated
component of their curriculum.
