students in middle school.
My tech and I reimage all student machines in the summer. We never to
faculty machines unless there is an issue that can't be solved in any
other way. =20

We are just starting our 1-1 in the fall, but the faculty have had
tablets for 2 years.
I reimage all student machines, laptops and lab, every summer. I only
reimage faculty machines if they are in VERY bad shape or changing
hands. I try to avoid reimaging a faculty laptop, just because of the
personalization issue. I do make the faculty give me the machine for a
day or tow so I can do updates and defrag etc. I'm thinking about
taking an image of each faculty machine in the fall and then using that
for the reimage if I need to do it.
Good success, with a tough issue.

We reimage all student laptops every year and we've also reimaged
faculty
laptops every year. We're debating whether or not it's necessary to
reimage faculty laptops every year. Our laptops are Windows-based and
faculty have admin privileges, so most laptops are heavily personalized
beyond our base image. We don't have any major software upgrades this
summer and we have one more year on our 3-year laptop lease. =20
So, we're considering 'status quo' with faculty laptops and I'm
interested
to hear how you all handle reimaging? =20
