We're a 1-1 school and all our faculty have laptops as their everyday
computer.
We reimage all student laptops every year and we've also reimaged faculty
laptops every year. We're debating whether or not it's necessary to
reimage faculty laptops every year. Our laptops are Windows-based and
faculty have admin privileges, so most laptops are heavily personalized
beyond our base image. We don't have any major software upgrades this
summer and we have one more year on our 3-year laptop lease.
So, we're considering 'status quo' with faculty laptops and I'm interested
to hear how you all handle reimaging?
Assuming there are no major OS or applications upgrades,
Do you reimage all students laptops each year?
Do you reimage all faculty laptops each year?
Do you reimage all lab computers each year?
