We just completed converting our DC's from 2k3 to 2k8. Fairly
painless and very much needed for a NAP/NAC solution, esp. since MS is
supporting client agnostic NAP/NAC projection on 2k8. We're
considering this solution for our project:
http://www.napera.com/products_nap.html
We're about 80/20 for our clients w/ the 80 being Macs and 20 being Windows=
.
What's your switching environment, i.e. manufacturer? We've been
running Dells for a number of years without any problem. We're
VLAN'ing our VMWare environment on a Dell switch without any burnouts.
Have you tried running a packet sniffer to see if you have any rampant
traffic running around? FWIW, I've seen issues with Symantec
(Endpoint Protection, our A/V solution) sending out a lot of packets
that it false determined was a DOS attack from various clients. The
funny thing is that *it* was sending those packets in the first place.
:)
Hope this helps!

Kory
