Re: iPod Repairs

This may not be an answer to your question, Marti, but I would echo what
Lucy said. At my previous school we had an iPod program (iPods required
for all students in upper grades). There I learned that getting Apple
Care for the iPods is an absolute must (even though it only extends the
standard warranty to two years). There were lots of hard drive failures.
On a more positive note, Apple's support was terrific and getting repairs
(or, more often, replacements) was quick and relatively easy. Enrolling
the iPods in the AppleCare program was a nuisance, though, as there was no
auto-enroll (may still be the case?). -Joe Peacock
