Re: Interesting new free online LMS and possible replacement for Ning?

In cases such as my ning, http:///globaleducation.ning.com, I have 3800
members which is well over the limit of 150 people for the Ning minis that
are being underwritten by the Pearson Foundation. So people who have nings
catering to large groups of people can't use that option. Secondly, there is
no guarantee that Pearson will keep up this sponsorship indefinitely, so
people may choose to move to a service that they have more control over.

I love Ning's features and ease of use, and I am very fortunate that the
good people at Think Global School have stepped up to sponsor my ning.
Otherwise, I'd seriously be looking at other options such as the ones listed
on this Google Doc: http://tinyurl.com/2cy6hjf. I've heard of Schoology,
but haven't looked at it closely.
