of course, but we've been successfully running a business-class cable
modem as our primary service for over five years now, backed up by a T1.
We are, however, in an urban environment. Because we've been so
impressed with our service, we recently upgraded from 15Mbps to 50Mbps
several months ago. We're planning on replacing our T1 with a 50Mbps
Verizon FiOS in a month as our research indicates we get much more
bandwidth (of course) than an expensive T1 with just as good reliability.
I hope this info helps.
