Re: Language instruction support through technology

We're always looking for ways to use tech to strengthen the language
program. This is an interesting language option
https://anvill.uoregon.edu/anvill2/
The site describes the tool as
"ANVILL (A National Virtual Language Lab) is a speech-based toolbox for
language teachers. Like the language lab console of old, it's focused on
the practice of oral/aural language, but at its core are very modern
web-based audio and video tools from [ http://duber.com/ ]duber [
http://duber.com/ ]dot com: Voiceboards (an asynchronous speech
tool), LiveChat (a 4-way conversation tool), and Voicerecorder (a widget
for instant recordings). Each really opens up the scope and sequence of
spoken language tasks."

This summer we had a workshop on computer as language lab. The workshop
resources are here:

The slideshare has a number of tools (I think they all link out) that
might be useful.

If you have Moodle, there are some interesting options available too. The
nanogong plugin has potential.

I'm looking forward to seeing what people have to share in this area.
