Policies and Guidelines for Teacher Web Sites

We are wondering if NAIS and/or your school has policy guidelines for
teacher web sites. For instance, what content should be public, and
what should be password protected? What content is appropriate,
especially when dealing with sensitive or controversial content open to
all, younger students, older students, the world? Is copying
information (pictures, text) from other sites covered under Fair Use?
Of course, we never post pictures of students without permission(signed
release form) and never match students with names. We have the usual
suggested guidelines for public pages: contact information, schedule,
class policies, homework posts, helpful links etc. especially for
parents of younger students. This information tends to be password
protected for older students, however, our teachers pretty much decide
if they want a static or interactive site (or a combination) so there
isn't any particular consistency. What about review or over-sight of
teacher web sites?

Suggestions and comments are most welcome!
