Past postings on the topic of thin client solutions discuss a bit as to if
anybody is using this technology in independent schools. From the past
responses, usage seems low, but I'm wondering if any schools have
incorporated this solution since the last time this was a thread, in
particular, Fiddlehead out of NY?
If anybody is using a thin client solution, I'd love to hear what kind, for
what specific purposes (if limited to a specific purpose), and if a true
cost savings is being effectively generated. (Some estimates- read as
"marketing materials"- say up to 60% savings on hardware but also energy
savings up to 70% and up to 50% fewer technology support costs.)
Feel free to reply to the list or off-list as fit-
Thanks as always to the amazing collective wisdom of the list!
