Do you want to develop middle school leaders? Top 10 reasons you should

Top Ten Reasons to attend the Middle School Leadership Institute brought to
you by GYLI

10: Two locations--Pine Point School in Stonington, CT and Marin Country
Day School in Corte Madera (SF Bay area), CA
9: Hands on science-we will touch it, see it, play with it, and practice the
kind education that begins with the hands first, then moves to the head
8: Expert staff-we have coordinators and institute directors who work
specifically with the middle school age group in developmentally appropriate
ways-not just as short high schoolers
7: Learn Activities and games you can use to address the themes of
Collaborative Leadership, Religious Pluralism, Multi-Cultural Identity, and
Environmental Sustainability.
6: Intergenerational learning, where students and teachers are co-learners.

5: Tall-ship sailing. Both locations will feature a 1-day sail aboard a
tall-ship
4: Its cheap. $900 for students and $300 for teachers for 5 days. If you
find a quality leadership and science program for less, please let me know
3: GREEN Energy. Both locations feature solar panels, rain water
collection, composting, and a host of institutional initiatives that your
school can learn from
2: Transfer back your school and community-each student group will have to
prepare a Leader Learning Plan to bring the learning back to your school and
community-thus you can affect a whole community with a small group of
committed individuals.

And the number one reason (drum roll please....)

1: Fun, Fun, Fun
