Re: School Software

I ended up building a custom Admissions piece.

Basically created a separate school called "Admissions." In that school, the
demographics pages match what is in our school, so when the student is
accepted all the demographics are current.

For the Admissions process, we create every step as if it were an assignment
and the "grade" is an indicator of how the student is progressing with that
step (aka all forms in, processing, complete, etc).

Students that are accepted get rolled over to our school with the end of the
year process, students that are not stay in Admissions in case they decide
to reapply in the future.

It's fairly simple and straightforward.

Billing we're still doing through Blackbaud Financial Edge, and for reasons
unknown to me, our Business Office is in no rush to tie into PowerSchool.
