Essential Functions:
Consults with administration to analyze computer system needs for managemen=
t information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities =
of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
Takes a leadership role in developing and implementing the school technolog=
y plan.
Develop and modify annual computer replacement cycle.
Manages technical budgets, allocates resources, and determines appropriate =
project schedules.
Performs yearly e-rate funding requests and works to maximize funding.
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the School's network, servers, printer=
s, databases and other equipment.
Manages and performs routine maintenance of all server equipment, including=
e-mail server, firewall, enterprise A/V, web filter, HVAC system, security=
system and student information system (SIS).
Works with SIS Coordinator/Webmaster to develop strategies related to the w=
eb and to the health of the SIS.
Develops a technology resource approach that can be easily accessed by teac=
hers, students and staff.
Works with division heads and technology coordinators to develop technology=
professional development plan.
Trains end-users on various software applications.
Manages the administrative back-end of copiers (LDAP setup, e-mail, scannin=
g, etc.)
Manages the overall acquisition of hardware and software. Maintains accura=
te inventories. Establishes guidelines for sharing equipment campus-wide.
Evaluates hardware, software, courseware for potential use in instructional=
or administrative areas.
Supervises school technology personnel.
Provides leadership and direction for all website activities.
