We researched this, and found the Google web storage a possible option, tied
with Picasa clients (cross platform).
I liked the auto-sync folders in Picasa, and the option to have only starred
photos sync to the web.
However, I had some issues with tags syncing with the web folders. I could
tag a hundred faces using the client software, but then the gallery would
sync to the web with no face tags. This part seemed buggy.
Thus, we are waiting to test again. A second concern was the Google terms
and conditions, which appeared to state that the service could be changed or
discontinued with little or no warning...
