Re: Web Blocker

We are also looking at web filtering solutions that include a feature to co=
ntrol student Internet access outside of campus.

I had web demos with 8e6, WebSense and LightSpeedSystems. Another vendor - =
Pearl Software (www.pearlsoftware.com) provides with this capability as wel=
l.

iPrism sales person gave me a call earlier this week and confirmed that iPr=
ism will have remote filtering functionality in the first quarter of next y=
ear.

I am currently running a trial of LightSpeed Total Traffic Control Solution=
and so far it looks good.=20

We've been using SurfControl for the past 3 years and the product will be a=
t EOL in June 2010; we will be switching to the new webfiltering solution d=
uring the summer of 2010.

Hello All-

Has anyone had any experience with 8e6 web blocker or pure wire web blocker=
? we are looking for a mobile web blocker for blocking and recording web l=
ogs while our computers are off campus. I'd appreciate any advice you may =
