Re: Scheduling software

For folks using Class A - can it create a book list for each student? =0D
=0D
We are a ps-12th grade school and we generate and send a textbook list=0D
to each student's home school district. The book list changes as each=0D
schedule does and right now, that list is generated in our SIS - Senior=0D
Systems but I'm looking to upgrade our scheduling capabilities.=0D

Class A is excellent. We are just wrapping-up for Spring. Of course, a=0D
school needs to understand its own priorities and strategy prior to=0D
entering=0D
scheduling because it is not some wizard that will make decisions for=0D
you,=0D
but rather it gets you into a position where you can balance and get=0D
above=0D
the data so you can implement your schedule methodology. This whole=0D
process=0D
is very interesting because you see what restrictions in Faculty=0D
schedules,=0D
grade requirements and room resources does to your enrollment=0D
population. It=0D
makes the process transparent for the school as opposed to just giving=0D
it to=0D
one person to do. We did a small team to work through the Fall and=0D
Spring.=0D
=0D
For example, we first starting using it in May for this Fall and we were=0D
able to take our existing yearlong course enrollments and keep them=0D
static=0D
while fitting around all our Spring semester course-sections around the=0D
existing yearlongs to keep consistency for students and teachers while=0D
still=0D
keeping balance in teacher schedules. For this May, we will be=0D
scheduling=0D
for the full 10-11 year which is super-easy because you don't have a lot=0D
of=0D
locks to work-around like we did for Spring but Class A allows you to=0D
work=0D
these scenarios.=0D
=0D
No problem taking that data out of CAS to our SIS, Whipple Hill.=0D
