STEM for Girls ThinkTank
Registration is now open for the third annual STEM for Girls Think Tank.
We are pleased to once again welcome STEM department chairs and lead
teachers, administrators, curriculum coordinators, and college
counselors to the campus of The Harpeth Hall School in Nashville,
Tennessee on November 12-13, 2009. For more information, please contact
Molly Rumsey or Karen Douse at stem@harpethhall.org =20
The STEM for Girls Think Tank is an annual gathering of STEM educational
leaders from independent schools and interested universities from around
the world. The purpose is to find ways to better prepare and encourage
young women to study the four STEM areas with the long-range goal to
have more young women pursue careers in these fields. Teachers and
administrators will share best practices, brainstorm ideas, and plan for
future STEM-related initiatives and collaborations.
In addition, we have an entire day of pre-conference activities
scheduled on the campus of Vanderbilt University on November 11. There
is no fee for this day. Please see the STEM website for details and an
entire schedule =20

We hope you will join us for engaging speakers, innovative best
practices, and roundtable discussions that explore science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics curriculum for the 21st century. Space is
limited, so register now to reserve your spot! We look forward to seeing
you in November.

New York State Area:
I'm going to NYSCATE 2009 Annual Conference in Rochester, NY. There is
another NYSCATE Metro conference by the New York City area.
I like to go to the Ithaca Educational Technology Day which typically
happens in the Spring time. It's free for all to attend.
