Re: any ideas for a 1 shot computer class?

I love the scavenger hunt idea. And I agree that they won't retain much
from one session to the next, however, I do think you could do something
where the components stand alone but could be brought together in one
session. For instance, maybe one session each: =20

create a stand alone comic strip,=20
use an image editor with layers to drop in additional images into the
frames,=20
find interesting sound effects,=20
organize the sound effects according to the visual of the strip,=20
build a PowerPoint using the components accumulated so far,=20
add voice-over,=20
etc.

Just a thought.

I would probably do a project based assignment using technology.

- Make a quick film
- Make a radio podcast
- Do something neat with photoshop
- Put a computer back together
- Solve puzzles by finding information online besides Googling
everything
