ISED Colleagues,
Does anyone else have unusual font experiences when teachers write or copy
and paste their reports into Faculty Access for the Web (FAWeb)? After
three years we continue to have a difficult time keeping our standard
Times New Roman, 10 point font. Teachers will write or cut and paste and
carefully check to be sure the comments are in the correct font and size.
If they go out of FAWeb and come back in again, the font has often changed.
If this only happened when they cut and paste from Word or from Word Pad,
I might understand, but frequently teachers will work only in FAWeb, and
later on when they return to continue working the fonts have changed.
Most often fonts change into Helvetica or Ariel.
Very puzzling and troubling. When we import the fonts into Education
Edge, many font issues are corrected, but many others are not.
The people at Blackbaud are sympathetic and start cases for us, but we
cannot get this worked out.
Do any of you have similar problems? Any thoughts or ideas? Could this be
a browser font issue? I expect we have many browsers used, though only
those that Blackbaud recommends.!
