ISED NAIS Teachers of the Future

You are invited to nominate yourself- or another teacher- for the 2009
NAIS Teachers of the Future, funded by the E.E. Ford Foundation. NAIS
will select and support a second cadre of 25 innovative teachers to
contribute to an online community for independent school teachers. Each
of the 25 will receive a stipend and will be expected to lead a
discussion forum and post a demonstration teaching unit video. The
deadline for nominations is April 17th.=20

As we increasingly move toward an environment of instant and infinite
information, it becomes less important for students to know, memorize,
or recall information, and more important for them to be able to find,
sort, analyze, share, discuss, critique, and create information. They
need to move from being simply knowledgeable to being knowledge-able.
