Warning about more Chatroulette Wannabe's

Dear Colleagues,

Many of you are already aware of Chatroulette.com and omegle.com as sites
designed for visitors to chat with strangers, and sites we probably want
to block at our schools. A writer of a recent article about Chatroulette=
,
which is random video chats with strangers, said that after spending a fe=
w
hours on Chatroulette he estimated 1 in 5 video chats were of men who wer=
e
exposing themselves.=20

I wanted to let you know that two similar Chatroulette-wannabe's have jus=
t
appeared recently and I'm sure there will be more.

Similar to Chatroulette, you can be thrown into a room with strangers and
conduct video chats with random people. When you tire of a person, you can
simple move onto the next available user in TinyChat=92s =93Lobby=94.

PopJam also released a Chatroulette-like platform, except that is uses
Facebook Connect to randomly send you into a Facebook IM chat with a tota=
l
stranger.

Never a dull moment,
Doug
