At Seven Hills, a prek-8 school with 360 students, we have:
Director of Technology (me) - Covers both the tech side and the =
education side. The position requires a teaching credential as well as =
a strong background in technology. The position oversees the others in =
the tech department.
Educational Technology Specialist - Was full time until this year, and =
their job was to support teachers in creating, implementing, and =
assessing integrated lessons. It is a credentialed teacher position. =
This year, because of budget issues, the position is half time and now =
supports middle school teachers, with Dir of Tech supporting K-5.
Technician - This is a full time position requiring a min. of an AA =
degree and strong tech background. They are responsible for covering =
the help desk, repairs, updates, imaging, etc. =20
We have not started doing online courses, and we don't see this as =
something that will happen in the near future.=20
