The Head of the Technology Department for Creative Artsoversees all of the film, publications and computer teachers. They also oversee all generaltechnology needs of the program including office needs and film/audio-visualneeds during the Noontime Show
and Arts Festival.
Responsibilities
Monitor Supplies
- Order major supplies for department (print cartridges, DVtapes, batteries, etc.)
- Monitor use of supplies and hardware during the program
- Maintain inventory of hardware and specialized equipment
Provide TechnicalSupport
- Provide technical support to classes
- Install software
- Set up computers in class locations and verify thatsoftware and hardware work as required
- Provide technical support to the Noon Time Show (showfilms, run lights, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot on technical problems
Technology StaffLiaison
- Orient staff to technology
- Provide support/recommendations to staff in making specialorders
- Inform staff of any special communications related to camp
Teach Computer Classes
- Teach two computer-based classes (web design, etc.) for8-11 year old campers and 12-15 year old campers
- Tailor classes to a variety of proficiency levels
Technical Knowledge
- Work with both Mac and PC platforms
- Use integrated audio-visual system
- Ability to interface video cameras, iPods, digital voicerecorders with A/V system
- Knowledge of wide variety of software programs: Desktop publishing, video-editing andaudio-editing.
Salary
Commensurate with experience
In the range of $3,500 for the full session
