Speakers: I like the Smart Board "USB Speakers." We have two and they work
very well.

Remotes:
I actually bought a few extra remotes for $10 each (for NEC Projectors). I
keep a few in stock in case they go missing. If that is not good enough,
you can try tethering to a table.
