Re: Portfolio Tools

I am having some difficulty understanding what Mahara offers that one can=B9t
provide with a multi-user blog system. Most of the features they list on
their site are already built into Wordpress, and the rest could be set up i=
f
you ramped up on Drupal. This would allow one to fold e-portfolio functions
into a web site that also serves other purposes, reducing the number of
systems that IT has to administer and people need to learn how to use.

Set up a multi-user blog and define =8Cportfolio=B9 as one of the tags.
Enable the necessary multimedia plug-ins to support images, audio, and vide=
o
content.
If desired, enable user-configurable access control, to replicate that
Mahara feature.

That seems like about 95% of Mahara functionality. If I=B9m missing something
important, I=B9d love to learn what it is.
