Re: Final "exam"

My tech class is basically a mixture of technology survival skills in a 1-1=
environment - essential tech skills, ethics, privacy, safety, hardware car=
e, laptop maintenance... My final project for 7th grade tech class is a sm=
all group (2-3 students) video project comprised of stills, screen shots, a=
nd web-cam videos. Groups choose one topic from class and create a 30-60 s=
econd video to teach it. =20
- Topics: Password privacy, handing in to a drop box, Facebook privacy, bac=
king up data, etc. (Students can also propose a topic.)
- Assessment: Students are told it's a pass/fail project and have a copy of=
the rubric.
- Audience: School community, but primarily other students
- Time frame: Two classes with a week between (we meet once per 6 day cycle=
)
- Required elements: Storyboard, Video, no "borrowed" content (all audio an=
d images need to be royalty free or self-created.)
This project will demonstrate ability to ink (storyboard), ability to save =
properly for drop box (storyboard, final video), ability to do screen shots=
, ability to edit images, use Movie Maker, video with webcam, record audio =
for products, etc., as well as understanding of topics of videos.
