I'm doing a bit of research for a student teaching program on portfolios. My
colleagues are looking for a web-based or software solution to create and
house portfolios demonstrating their student teachers' work. My suggestion
was to the pro version of Adobe Acrobat for the creation piece at least, but
I'm wondering if there is something more interesting out there. I'd
appreciate any and all suggestions.
Also, for my acquaintances on this list, I'm moving to a new position at the
University of Chicago next week. After teaching at the Lab Schools for
several years, I left to help with technology initiatives at a set of
charter schools also run by the University. My next adventure will be
working at the U of C Center for Elementary Math and Science Education as a
technology specialist. This group is responsible for the development of the
Everyday Math program. I'll be advising them on technology integration
matters, helping with PD, and other assorted yet to be determined duties.
Although I'm no longer directly working in independent schools, I still find
this list to be very valuable. Thank you all for sharing your wisdom and
resources over the years!
Thanks,
Lucy Gray
