The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Reports on Digital Media and Learning

For those of you working with students and technologies a recently published report is highly recommended and will be useful in your future planning. A lot of it will simply support what you already know, but it is good to have an authoritative source:

General Info:
This report represents a synthesis of the findings across the 22 different case studies. It has been over three years in the making, and is the result of a truly collaborative joint effort with 28 researchers and research collaborators

Selected Quote:
"Youth using new media often learn from their peers, not teachers or adults. Yet adults can still have tremendous influence in setting learning goals, particularly on the interest-driven side where adult hobbyists function as role models and more experienced peers."____________________________
