Re: Websites

We are also in the process of moving to FinalSite. Our current website
is hosted on a server in our server room and is a custom written
application that just wasn't well supported.

With FinalSite, all users are responsible for their own information,
and the responsible administrator is responsible for their section. We
will also hire a communications coordinator who, as part of the job,
will keep the main pictures refreshed, coordinate the news and calendar,
and do basic administration (new pages, new admin users, etc.).

Right now, hosting is through the technology budget. We are also
implementing Veracross to replace our student information system, and it
will be integrated with FinalSite. My department will be responsible for
the technical administration, but all users are responsible for their
own content.
