Director of Institutional Advancement
Stratford Academy, an independent, non-sectarian, college preparatory schoo=
l for students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve seeks an experience=
d advancement professional to lead the area of Institutional Advancement to=
begin June 1, 2008. This position is a senior administrative position and=
reports to the Head of School.
The Director of Institutional Advancement serves as the school=92s chief ex=
ternal programs strategist. S/he is responsible for formulating, executing=
and supervising a coordinated program in enrollment management, developmen=
t/fundraising, alumni relations, and communications/marketing.
Qualifications and Experience:
=95 A minimum of five years of advancement experience, independent school l=
eadership a strong preference
=95 A Bachelor=92s degree, advanced degree is a plus
=95 Experience in strategic planning and successful execution of advancemen=
t programs
=95 Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
=95 Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers
=95 Excellent organizational and team-building skills
=95 Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize time effectively, =
prioritize, schedule, complete assignments in a timely manner, pay attentio=
n to detail, execute follow-up, and capably multi-task multiple priorities
=95 Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Ex=
cel, Raiser=92s Edge
=95 Ability to function as a positive team player and constructive colleag=
ue with optimism, enthusiasm, self-motivation, honesty, humor and an indust=
rious work ethic
=95 A commitment to the mission and goals of the school
