What: Podcasts are great teaching tools. These small radio broadcasts are
easily created and teachers can use them to share information, provide
clarification about an assignment, evaluate a learner's progress, and much
more. You can even post a podcast with information for your students to
listen to as a part of an assignment. Finished products are easily
e-mailed or burned to CDs. Students of all ages will find lessons
integrating podcasts to be exciting and fun. Plus, using podcasts is a
great way to engage strong auditory learners in your daily lessons.

Come to a Georgetown Day School workshop and learn how you can create your
own "casts" with three easy, fun, and common software programs: Garage
Band and iTunes, First Class e-mail, and Audacity.

Check out GDS students' recent "casts" at http://www.gds.org/casts/.
