We have a couple in the hands of some programming students who are
programming a robot. Apparently, they were able to add the appropriate
software with no problem, are planning a bridged wireless network, etc.
They've only had them a week, so we have no data yet on durability, but
I'll admit that I like the software load on the units and have purchased
one for my one kids as a Christmas present. (The frustrating part is
keeping it in a drawer instead of playing with it.)
Endgadget had a report that a version with a 10 inch screen might be in
the works, which would be an interesting development. The main problem
I've seen with our test units is that the keyboard is going to be too
small for some adults. We did get it to join wireless networks and use
our printers without any problem.
Good luck, and let us know what you find out about them.
