Re: Computer Cheating

We used SecurExam for years, but abandoned it last year because of issues w=
ith the software and shabby support from the company. We made the switch t=
o Exam4, a program intended and used for bar examinations at several Law Sc=
hools. Exam4 works very reliably and we haven't had any problems with tech=
nical support either. The drawback is that the exams are stored on a local=
server where printing has to take place, so I do all of the printing after=
an exam. We have four, five teachers using it regularly, so it's manageab=
le, but it would be more desirable if teachers could print their own exams.=
We use Exam4 across the board during final examinations in all of the Hum=
anities, so several thousand essay responses during the course of exam week=
. Hope this feedback helps!

Subject: Computer Cheating

We are examining our practices of computer access during exams and would
like to know what other Upper School's do. Do you allow students to use
their own laptops during tests and exams? Do you block internet access?
Do you use software like secure exam?

Thanks,
